Psalm 95:1-5: Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
The psalmist reminds us of the reasons that we should praise God. In Romans 1 Paul points out what God has against people is that “For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him.” (Rom. 1:21) Many boast of what they have done rather than boast of what God has done through or for them.
We are dependent upon Him for everything. No matter what our attitude is or how we are feeling we should “Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and come into his courts.” (Ps. 96:8)
Have you ever worshiped God and had someone question you? Did they try to shame you because of your faith? I am drawn to think of Tim Tebow and how he boldly proclaims our Lord. Tim stood boldly and many searched the verse John 3:16. Tim most certainly gives a strong witness to and sows the seed of salvation by glorifying our Father in Heaven.
Prayer: “Lord, I give thanks to You because You are so worthy of glory. Forgive me for taking You and all that You do for granted. I thank you Lord for your grace and Mercy. In Jesus’ Name I pray Amen!!”
